A few years back, I had a horse who thought setting back at the trailer and snapping halters was a fun little hobby. He never went anywhere—just stood there, very proud of himself for destroying yet another one.

A trainer friend introduced me to this rope in a simple, plain color, and it quickly became something I couldn’t live without. It earned a permanent spot in my trailer. To this day, I still carry two of them—both bought from her years ago.

Yes, this rope prevents broken halters, but what truly sold me was the added safety while tacking up at the trailer. I no longer have to unhalter and risk a loose horse, or slide a halter down their neck just to keep them tied while bridling. It’s an incredibly useful tool, especially for horses that aren’t fully trained to stand quietly at the trailer yet. I’m currently using one with my 2-year-old as we work on trailer manners.

So many of you have asked about these that I decided to make them available in my shop. They’re offered in five colors, with two of each available.
